We are pleased to announce that the Team Planning page has been updated to enhance the usability of this page and make it easier for teams to plan their iterations and release. 

• Both the Planning and Planned view of this page now include the following:

  • A summary at the top of the page that shows the total planned velocity, planned count of items, planned points, and percentage of capacity that is planned for the entire release.

  • A similar summary for each iteration that shows the planned count of items, planned points, and percentage of capacity for each iteration.

  • Customize the columns that you want to display on these views.

    • Owner field shows as a default field.

    • Tasks field is removed from default fields.

Is all this additional information also seen in the Release and Iteration Timeboxes? Up until now we had to manually enter the Release Planned velocity by summing all the Iteration Planned Velocities. Also, where is the capacity info coming from? Is it from a published capacity plan?

Hi Mark, 

The Iteration velocity comes from the Iteration timebox's Planned Velocity. The Total Velocity Goal on the Team Planning page automatically sums up all the iterations' Planned Velocity. The Total Capacity is just a percentage of Total Points/Total Velocity on the Team Planning page.
