Occasionally the CA Communities will have situations that involve abusing or spam-related content. This document will cover the process of reporting abuse and moderation on the communities site.
If you notice or get a notification for a piece of content that you believe to be abusive, spam, or a violation of CA Communities Terms and Conditions, we urge you to use the a “report abuse” button located to the right of every piece of content within the CA Communities.
When an item is reported, it is provisionally removed from the community and routed to a moderation queue which is monitored by the CA Communities team, who then accepts or rejects the content accordingly. If a piece of content is deemed to be permissible, it will re-appear on the community as soon as it is accepted. If a piece of content is rejected, the author has a chance to revise the reported content and have it restored to the community before it is removed permanently.
If you choose to report a piece of content, please provide as much information as possible in the comments section. Any info available will help the CA Communities team to determine the validity of the post and allow us to decide whether it should be removed from the community or not.
For users in the CA Communities who have moderation rights, one thing to be aware of is the fact that you may be notified if spam or a report abuse situation occurs in a community in which you have moderator rights. If you receive a moderation request, we ask that you please do not accept or reject any content unless you have been specifically asked to do so. If you're not sure whether you should respond to a reported piece of content or not, please feel free to reach out to myself or any member of the CA Communities team for clarity.
