DATEFORMAT function [Date and time]

Returns a representing a date expression in the specified format.

Syntax

FormatDate( datetime-expression, string-expression )

Parameters

• datetime-expression   The datetime to be converted.
• string-expression   The format of the converted date.

Example

The following statement returns the value 18/01/1989 13:12:11

 FormatDate( '1989-01-18 13:12:11', 'dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm:ss' );
