Tech Tip: Performance Management Sizing tool

02-12-2019 09:56 AM

A prime ingredient in the recipe for success running a Performance Management environment is ensuring the system is  properly for current load, and expected future load.

The Performance Management product functions optimally when it is properly resourced for the expected load.

For those that may not be familiar with it, and as a reminder to this that once were, Product Management has provided an online sizing tool available to customers. It is known as the 'Sizer'.

The tool provides a simple way to determine the required resources for your Performance Management environment by simply answering some questions about the estimated number of devices and other items.

The more answers, and more accurate the answers provided, the better the system will perform when configured for the resulting specifications.

The tool is found in a few places. It is a web based tool and does require user log in to access the tool.

Got it!  Thanks!

Narongkij,

That information is mostly within the documentation.  We do not have CPU, RAM or Storage requirements when it comes to clients connecting to the CAPC Web Page.

For example, in Performance Management 3.6:

Review Installation Requirements and Considerations - CA Performance Management - 3.6 - CA Technologies Documentation

Supported Browsers

The following browsers are supported:

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer version 10, 11
  • Google Chrome 48.x and later
  • Mozilla Firefox 42.x and later

Other Requirements
