The default security for the Monitoring Views in WCC allows users to create Views (that are applied to all users) in an ad-hoc fashion. This is fine for small groups of users, but as the numbers grow it can become inconvenient and may even slow the user down. Some control over who creates Views and who can see them can become of benefit when larger numbers are involved. The attached PDF has some suggestions for securing shared views by role and still allowing users to create and control their own Views.
