    On behalf of Broadcom, we appreciate your business and the opportunity to provide you with high-quality, innovative software and services. As part of our ongoing commitment to customer success under the Continuous Delivery model, we are pleased to announce the General Availability (GA) of the following feature PTF:   

    LU02875- z/OS 2.5 Compatibility Support and RMF Updates

    This feature enables SYSVIEW customers to run their businesses on the most current version of z/OS 2.5. SYSVIEW provides "Day One" support for z/OS 2.5 and its subsystems.

    The following updates were added in support of z/OS 2.5.

    • Updated SDSF compatibility menu and command exit. 
    • New JES2 2.5 configuration module.
    • New z/OS and JES2 2.5 map modules.   
    • Updated IPCONFIG command.   
    • Updated SMFTYPE command and parmlib member.
    • Updated SMF record type 70 subtype 1 formatter.    

    In addition, the following Resource Measurement Facility (RMF) enhancements would enable SYSVIEW users to view -

    • information about cryptographic processors configured in accelerator mode.                                        
    • overview information about cryptographic hardware.                                                                              
    • activity information about cryptographic hardware configured in PKCS11 coprocessor mode.                                                                              
    • Extended Asynchronous Data Mover (EADM) statistics. 
    • zFS statistics for file systems.                   
    • zFS system and cache statistics.                  
    • job state delay analysis.        
    • information about Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe) functions.

    Furthermore, the following z/OS enhancements were added which will allow SYSVIEW users to view -

    • information about PR/SM level CPU utilization collected and summarized by the MVS data collector over a user specified interval up to one hour. The users can also view real-time processor configuration in combination with historical CPU utilization and CPU relative share utilization.
    • TLS 1.3 information.
    • Instruction Execution Protection (IEP) field on  different command displays (PRIVATE and GPRIVATE). It indicates if IEP is active for a given storage allocation.  
    • the names and attributes of SMS aggregate groups defined in the active SMS configuration.
    • the names and attributes of SMS cloud constructs defined in the active SMS configuration.
    • active SMS subsystem and DFSMS configuration information.

    Service unit and Job State Delay Analysis monitoring enhancements were added with this feature.
