  • 1.  Attempted to create metric ProcessID with a conflicting type.

    Hi,

    sometimes we see this kind of error in our log file: "12/11/13 04:30:17 PM GMT [ERROR] [IntroscopeAgent] Attempted to create metric ProcessID with a conflicting type.".

    But everything on the dashboard seems good. What can occures this error? Where to find the problem?

    Hi Sandor,

    This type of error occurs when 2 metrics are created of same name. One of the reasons could be instrumenting same set of codes twice. Kindly let us know the type of application which you have instrumented and also agent version.

    Hi,

     

    if I understand well I have to check the metrics names - is there any way to print the name of the wrong metric? Or just set the logging into DEBUG mode?

    Hi Sandor,

    If I consider the error message which you have updated here, I can see that name of the metric is "ProcessID ".  But Without full logs, it would be difficult to troubleshoot. I think you should open a support issue and send them the required logs which would help you to get it resolved quickly.
