We downloaded the software Nov 1 2008 - we were fully in production
    April
    19 2009

I will try to go back thru my notes and get a more detailed timeline

from what I have read - a migration from 16 to 17 is VERY painless -
    from
15 to 17 requires a bit more work (because of the things you would have
been bitten by had you gone to 16 first ...)

How long is everyone taking to install 17.0? I'm talking about from the
day you download it from CA to the day you are 100% running in
production. The site I support is upgrading from 16.0 SP7 to 17.0 SP1.

"I'm going with SP1, plus I downloaded 90 or so post SP1 fixes this morning.
They are going to go one before I do the dictionary conversion and bring up
the test CV for the first time on 17.0.
