  • 1.  What are "Additional Properties" used for in Published Service Properties?

In the "Published Service Properties" dialog, there's an "Additional Properties" section where you can add new name/value pairs.

Can someone explain what this is used for exactly and give me a use case example? I don't see a way to reference them using context variables (at least it doesn't seem to be documented if there is). What is it for?

    Hi Yanick,

I believe this was originally added to include additional properties to identify services through integration with the developer portal. Though it can be used to store metadata specific to a service and referenced within policy using ${service.property.<name>} .

By "originally" you mean it's deprecated or it's still usable? I don't see the context variable service.property.* documented docops. Is it still available?
