Scheduler Journal Submissio

For those that use a scheduler for journal submission, what was the
reason you went this route? and have you had any problems with the
scheduler being down and journals not getting offloaded? and what did
you do to get around it? What about manual journal submission in the
    event of a problem?

    Thanks,
    Steve
