Since the recent update of the Windows desktop application for Flowdock to version 1.0.3 the display of every desktop notification makes the main Flowdock window lose it focus, such that typing a message gets interrupted and you have to reselect the window before you can continue. If other windows have focus (non-Flowdock), they keep their focus just fine.I have multiple colleagues who report the same behaviour. We all have Windows 10 as the operating system.Who is experiencing this as well?Does someone know how this can be improved?
Yes, I noticed that too.
How can this be reviewed because it didn't use to be like this?
It is absolutely maddening and makes it nearly impossible to use Flowdock. The notifications persist even after disabling desktop notifications in the app preferences.
I've noticed a loss of focus behavior but I hadn't correlated it with Flowdock. Let me do some testing with colleagues and see if we can reproduce this reliably.
So I had a couple colleagues send me barrages of 1-1s while I typed in Notepad. It was almost impossible for me to type. In fact, it was almost impossible for me to tell them to stop.
It doesn't seem to happen with every message, but it's easily reproducible enough that it can be characterized for development.
I'm going to check with them and see how we should proceed on this.
Great, thank you!

Yes, thanks for investigating this.
Quick update on this thread; dev asked me to file a defect on this so that's done. I'm not sure what the timeline is yet, but I'll keep this updated as I hear more.
Hi is there any updates on this yet? Our company depends on Flowdock and this is a near breaking bug for us.
We're still working on this. Based on the defect, it's being worked in this current sprint. I'm hoping to have more to update soon.
I think we're getting close on this one. I checked with development this morning and we're doing some QAing on this now. We're also bundling in some other Windows fixes with it which is why it's taking a little longer; I don't have any details on the other issues being addressed at this time.
Thanks for the update.

The behavior described in the original post above also happens when adding an emoji reaction to a chat message: if a new chat message comes in and the notification pops up, the emoji selection pane gets minimized.
Thought it was just me experiencing the bug.
I have this same issue, but it's been happening for months, even after I have disabled the popup notifications.
Mine started when I upgraded the app. I can't use it, so I turned it off. Hopefully it will be fixed soon... one of the Boulder engineers said it was a Window's related thing...
I've been using the browser to sign in while this gets looked into. It's not as convenient, but it's keeping me connected still.
This is also still happening to me. It is making it difficult to use Flowdock.
I have the same problem as well, since I upgraded the application.
I am having the same problem after updating to 1.0.3 plugin, I was not experiencing this issue prior to upgrade to 1.0.3.
Bumping this. Same issue here
Any update or ETA? I have turned off a lot of notifications to minimize disruptions, but I am missing important messages in the process...
Also, they removed the yellow dot/number (if you are @) so you have to have notifications off, but then have no notice that you have been @ 'd
This is riddles flowdock almost unusable, especially in emergency situations where lots of people are typing. It is shocking that it got passed QA testing.
I've been testing the new build and I've run into some issues with it, so I'm asking dev to look into it. Because of this delay, I have uploaded the previous build of Flowdock here: Flowdock_1.0.2_Windows.exe.zip
Please completely uninstall Flowdock prior to installing this version.
Just a quick update on this issue; I've been testing a new build for the last few days with all notifications turned on for the busiest flows that I'm a member of. I haven't had a single issue with loss of focus, so I've relayed that info to the dev team. I'll continue updating this thread with information as I receive it.
Thanks everyone for their patience through this. We've released a new build which should resolve the focus issues.

Just updated and will tell how it goes.Update:Behaved well over the day. Looking good.
With the experience gathered last week after the update I will consider this resolved. Thanks for the fix.
