  • 1.  Ability to change request name on submission of Catalog Request.

    Posted Feb 08, 2019 06:08 AM

    Hi Catalog gurus,

When I copy a request I see below message

I am prompted to enter a name and the users can call it what they like. However when submitting for the first time I am not prompted.

Would like to add the Javascript that sits behind this to the on the onSubmit{} action in form designer.

This would be useful as users have complained that the name is simply the generic form name and when submitting multiple requests it is difficult to navigate.

Thinking to possibly add some further Javascript as well forcing user to have it in format of Oracle Integration - Description goes here

    Any thoughts/ideas?

    Good Afternoon James.

The following goes for offerings with setting 'Shopping Cart'.
When you open a request for a service, the first time, you are indeed not prompted for a name of your request.
What you can do then, when you want to enter a name yourself, is to:
    1. 'Add to the Cart'
    2. Open the cart
    3. Enter your own request 'Name:'
    4. 'Save and Submit Cart 'the request

    Does this help you further?

    Thanks and kind regards, Louis.

You can display the General Informations tab and set the default name to empty

And if you try to submit it empty :
