  • 1.  Retrieving the Reference RunID in restarts

Is it possible to retrieve the "Reference RunID" of a task that is restarted and then ends successfully (ANY_OK) and store it as variable or pass it for further processing?

In workflows we have defined that all predeecessors must end with ANY_OK, otherwise we execute a script the sends an alert to our monitoring system.

Now, if we restart a failed task (using right-click on the task and select Restart) a small Attribute Dialog pops up and inside the Reference RunID is shown.

Want we want to achieve, is that in case the task is Restarted and ends with ANY_OK a new message is sent to our monitoring system with something like "Task with RunID <Reference RunID> was successfully restarted"

    /Keld.

In the list of system variables, there is both a &$RUNID# variable and a &$RESTART_RUNID# variable.  I think &$RUNID# always contains the original runid.
