Pasting Images in User Story

Some of our Users have encountered a defect in that we can only paste images into User Stories using the new right vertical window versus opening the User Story up with the old view and pasting.

Is this a 'glitch' or is there a reason why this can only be done one way?

Important to note that someone can still open the User Story and paste the image and it is assumed that the image saved but when immediately going back into the User Story, one can see it does not display.

Thanks for any help you can offer!

    Hi Julie,

Actually, it sounds like this is just the users finding something that was always the case.  One was never able to paste images directly into the older editable detail page (EDP) rich text fields such as Description or Notes. I mean it would let you paste it, but it wouldn't actually save it as it didn't have the functionality to upload the image directly.  One can still use the image button to upload the file, but that's certainly not as easy.

With the quick detail panel (QDP), we introduced the ability to paste images directly into the rich text fields. Take a look at https://help.rallydev.com/new-quick-detail-pages-beta#description for more on that. Super easy!  And now, with the recently-released ability to resize that QDP window to FULL SCREEN, there's no need to use that old editor anyway. Quick Detail Responsive Resizing available in Labs

Ack! Forgot to mention that the above Responsive Resizing is currently only available in our SaaS (web-based) version of Agile Central.
