Service Virtualization

  • 1.  Report Database - Range of Iformation

    Hello guys,

    Quick question.
    I am trying to collect the "Hits and Misses" virtual services report, filtering "All time"period. I got an result in the range of two months(i.e March and April).
    The information of February and January are missing, don't know why.

    Do you guys know how much information the database report keeps with it and if possible, where and how can I configure to increase the data collection ?

    Thank you all.

    I am not certain if All Time reporting is controlled by the cleaner services or not.

    Review the lisa.properties settings under Application Insight, Async Reporting:

    DevTest Property File (lisa.properties) - DevTest Solutions - 10.2 - CA Technologies Documentation

    DevTest Property File (lisa.properties) - DevTest Solutions - 10.3 - CA Technologies Documentation

    Search the page for these settings. I am wondering if the defaults might be reason.

    # These properties control how often old metric data is scanned for and deleted, along with what
    # counts as old.
    lisa.vse.metrics.delete.cycle=1h
    lisa.vse.metrics.delete.age=30d

    Notes:

    - Increasing the settings above increases DBMS space requirements

    - CA recommends the use of an enterprise DBMS rather than the Derby DB

    Hi Joel,

    Thank you for the fast response. I will verify the documentation and check if it is possible to increase this settings.

    Hi all,

    The settings that Joel mentioned, didn't work.

    Changed to 60 days:

    lisa.vse.metrics.delete.cycle=1h
    lisa.vse.metrics.delete.age=60d

    Here at the client we have 8 Servers:

    IP

    OS

    Component

    10.129.194.18

    RedHat

    REGISTRY / DASHBOARD / PORTAL

    10.129.194.20

    RedHat

    COORDINATOR/SIMULATOR

    10.129.194.21

    RedHat

    VSE_ESTEIRA1

    10.129.194.22

    RedHat

    VSE_ESTEIRA2

    10.129.194.23

    RedHat

    VSE_ESTEIRA3

    10.129.194.24

    RedHat

    VSE_DEV

    10.129.194.25

    RedHat

    VSE_PREPROD

    10.129.194.27

    RedHat

    Database Oracle

    I changed the lisa.properties on the REGISTRY / DASHBOARD / PORTAL Server(10.129.194.18).

    There is something that I`m missing ?

    Thank you

    I do not believe you are missing anything. Can you open a ticket with CA Support so they can help you figure out a potential resolution.
