i am using CAPC and i recently start facing this issue that for duration of approx. hour the data is missing in all dashboards containing multiples devices.
the DC services are up and fine at that timings that issue occurs 2 time still now first time 1 hour data is missing second time its approx. 2 hours.
its much irritating as customer is calming RCA for this data loss.
When the problem takes place, is it only reports against groups of devices that show missing data?
Do individual devices or items, that should show data in the group report, have data when looked at on their own independent of the larger group?
Has this been investigated by the support team yet?
i checked multiple devices and data related to different metric families but at same duration data is missing for all. Support team is investigating it from approx. 10 days they are yesterday saying that problem with DR ram,
we are 3 repository nodes each having 32 gb RAM, our sizing are of 1lakh polled item but its never breached yet then why its memory issue. oue DB size is not that much currently.
I believe the problems are all related to the DA problems being seen. I suspect this will go away, or reveal more clues, once the DA problems are resolved.
The DR DB sizing may be accurate but the DA may be running out of memory trying to load items that you may not realize it's trying to load.
That is the goal of the clean up efforts in the DA problem cases. To ensure the DA is only loading into memory the items it should be loading, that fit within its allotted resources.
I'd recommend focusing on stabilizing the DA, and then re-evaluating this particular problem and it's scope after that.
yes are increasing the RAM on DA and then will monitor the performance.
