Yesterday, Panic Inc. released version 5 of the excellent Mac file transfer app
Transmit. As I read about the new features of the app, I could not help but wonder whether Automic might be able to take inspiration from Transmit when considering how to improve the Automation Engine’s file transfer capabilities in the future.
The first thing that caught my eye was Transmit’s native support for many commercial cloud service providers.

The app also provides a function to quickly rename batches of files based on patterns, and provides built-in server key management. Just imagine a future AE agent (perhaps a descendant of today’s RA FTP agent) that offers similar capabilities. This could be quite useful.
