Symantec Privileged Access Management

  • 1.  Can you vault an account both for A2A and Privlieged at the same time?

We have a team that uses a LINUX ID both interactively (logged onto an SSH session with the ID) and also in scripts.  Are we able to use PAM to allow this team to continue to use the ID in both ways?

Do we need to set up a second account where one is defined as A2A and the other is set up as Privileged?CA Privileged Access ManagementDyodice2016

    Hi Susan,

You can use accounts set as A2A for both Access & A2A usages.

Is there anything special that needs to be done to make this happen?  If you know.

In the account settings you just need to use A2A as the type. Once this is done, the account will work as both Privileged & A2A. This basically just extends the attributes of the account to include ones that are required for A2A.
