Need to run a Restructure and Reorg for a database. Which should be done first?
Answer:
Recommendation is to run the Restructure first then the Reorg. If the Restructure affects any key values, you want the Reorg to be able to use these new key value, ie index key, calckey. After the Restructure is run, you run the Reorg. The Reorg needs to use a subschema that represents the database as it is after the Restructure. This will allow the Reorg to read the records at their new length.
