We have 4 Clarity app servers load balanced into https://clarityqa.com and 4 Jaspersoft server load balanced into http://clarityqareporting.com. Clarity is 15.2 with latest patch and Jaspersoft is 6.2.
We have issue in accessing Jaspersoft reports under load balanced Clarity URL. The reports list page shows loading and never come back. Then I changed the entryURL in CSA to point to HTTPS URL(suggested in https://communities.ca.com/thread/241745900). Now I am able to access the reports from https://clarityqa.com.
Now I want to know if keeping HTTPS URL in HTTP entry URL doesn’t affect the application? Or any changes I need to make in the CSA?
<webServer schedulerUrl="https://clarityqa.com" capaUrl="" sessionTimeout="" tenantTimeout="1440" sslType="implied"> <webServerInstance id="app" entryUrl="https://clarityqa.com" sslEntryUrl="https://localhost:8043" port="80" enablePort="true" sslPort="8043" enableSSLPort="false" address="" connectorPort="8009" connectorAddress="" context="/niku" documentRoot="" useHttpOnlySessionCookie="false" useSecureSessionCookie="false" restContext="/ppm"/> <webServerInstance id="nsa" entryUrl="http://localhost:8090" sslEntryUrl="https://localhost:8093" port="8090" enablePort="true" sslPort="8093" enableSSLPort="false" address="" connectorPort="8109" connectorAddress="" context="/niku" documentRoot="" useHttpOnlySessionCookie="false" useSecureSessionCookie="false" restContext=""/> </webServer>
Keeping the HTTPS URL In HTTP doesn't impact any performance but if you are redirecting your HTTPS url to HTTP, any reasons for doing it . Also where have you installed the SSL certificate, is it on ppm app or load balancer?
I redirected the HTTPS url to HTTP as a work around suggested in this thread Jaspersoft Reports not showing up . The SSL Certificate is installed on load balancer.
This is not a work around where it's required but its the flow which is breaking, so it's worth engaging your load balancer and infra team to see where the traffic is breaking.
Thanks!! I am working with Load balancer and infra team to fix the issue. I just wanted know if I can get any suggestion on settings that will help in solving my issue.
The setting is entirely network and we need to see where the status is getting blocked and take necessary action
Thanks for raising the query. I found that you have configured 4 JS servers to work with LB system. Could you kindly help me with a reference document that would help us. I'm trying to configure two JS servers to an LB system. The documents that are provided our jasper community are of little help.
Appreciate your response.
