  • 1.  IIS alert not updating in UMP ,USM console

    Hi ,

     

    We are generating various alerts from windows server in nimsoft , all alerts except IIS probe alert is not visible on UMP's USM console.Same alert  from IIS probe is visible in IM alarm console as well is present in database as well.but it is not visible on USM alerts.

    What could be the possible issue , as all other alerts are visible on USM.

    Hello Aditi,

     

    Very Strange Behavior, I would recommend you to open a CA Support Ticket for further investigation and help to confirm to see the nas tables, if is all there.

     

    Did you try to log with the user: Administrator on UMP and see if you have the same behavior?

    If you will be able to see the alert on UMP with the user Administrator, can be an Origin/ACL configuration issue.

     

    Anyway, we would recommend you to apply the latest nas version.

    Hi Alex,

     

    Have checked with admin user as well still same issue , even generated test alert from the server and it is visble on USM.Will open the case for the same,may be hotfix could help.

    Please check if you have a filter configured to block IIS probe alert in USM console.

    No filter is configured even alert from url_response probe is also not visible on USM.

    Will open the case for the same.

    Hi Aditi,

     

    did you configure the connection on the IIS probe for localhost? And when you check the alarm in IM, does it show as the loopback address? If so, that would be the reason why it is not visible as it cannot be attached to a device.

    hi 

    Martin,

     

    Yes for IIS probe we are monitoring local host (and its application pool).But if we check  alarm which is present in IM IP of server and server name is being populated,not loopback IP.Similarly same issue is coming for url_response probe from this server,we are monitoring one local host url and one specific url,we are getting alert in IM and IP of server is populated in the alert,but no alert in USM.
