The Agile Central Team Board has two exciting features to keep your Team’s flow moving like a well-oiled lean machine. First, your Team needs to know how long a card has been in a column. This is an excellent discussion piece at standups to check that no cards are stuck for too long, indicating bottlenecks and waste. In your Team Board’s settings you can now pick a number of days for each column. When a card has been in the column for that many days or more a note will show on the card telling you long it’s been there. On my team, we use this setting to help us know when something is sitting around and getting stale, such as a card being in our “Coding” column for over 3 days or in “Code Review” over 1 day.

The second addition is a setting change for the right-most column that lets you auto-hide cards that have been there after a certain number of days. Use this setting to keep your Team Board fresh and focused on your most recent accomplishments. No longer must your board be overwhelmed with an unmanageable pile of finished work. It’s awesome that you did so much in the past, and now you can be sure to celebrate your latest trophies.
