CDC as I know is a piece of software from IBM that monitors a DB2 table (on a Mainframe)  and, as soon as content is changed the same content is updated on a Oracle table (on UNIX box)

But CDC has agents that run on a UNIX box and is deployed using InfoSphere (jvm instance here)

The agent has log files that can be analyzed.

    Hi Luca,

The idea is to know if IBM CDC is based on Java, net or any other technology.

Eg: If CDC is java based you could try using default java agent to monitor the application (try to update the JVM arguments in the CDC startup script to include the agent jar and profile).

    Thanks

    Dear Luca:

Since Jose has provided a response suggesting use of the APM Java Agent, I am marking this as answered. Please indicate if you found the answer helpful and if there are any followup questions

    Thanks
