  • 1.  Unable to install CA Access Gateway 12.7.01

    I am trying to install CA Access Gateway 12.7.01 on RHEL 6.x. I am installing under non-root user and my installation directory is /app/ca/. I am getting below error.  As per CA Access Gateway documentation we need  read and write permission /opt. Is any workaround to fix this issue?

    ===============================================================================
    Insufficient permissions!
    -------------------------

    CA Access Gateway configuration requires write permission on /opt. The
    installation cannot continue. Provide the write permission to smuser and
    re-run the installer. Refer to the documentation for more details

    Unfortunately, there's no workaround to this problem. There's an IDEA suggested to fix this in future product release.

    As per the Idea enhancement request, it needs to create that directroy in /opt/

    So if you get root user to create directory :

    /opt/etc/CA

    And make the owner your user, it will install correctly.
