Quick question that I hope is fairly easy to answer and it's something simple I have over looked.

I have a project marked as a Template.  The Project start date is 9/14/17 and the Project End date is 1/2/20.  The template project has one role on the Team Member page.  The template also has 5 tasks in the WBS. The first two tasks have a start date of 9/14/17 and an end date of 9/15/17.  The other 3 tasks have a start date of 1/1/20 and an end date of 1/2/20.

When I create a new project from this template, it creates the 5 tasks.  The first two tasks have a start date of 12/14/17 and an end date of 12/15/17.  The last 3 tasks are created with a start date of 4/1/20 and an end date of 4/2/20.  I would have thought that all 5 tasks would have a start date of 12/14/17 and an end date  of 12/15/17. Or they would have the same start and end dates as the tasks on the template.  I can't figure out why the last 3 tasks are being created with start dates of 4/1/20.

I am assuming that you tried this on 14-Dec-2017, based on the Start Date you have provided above.

Looks like you have a difference of 2 years 2 months and 15/16 days between the first two tasks and the last three.

So, it appears that when the Project was created on 14-Dec-2017, that shift of 2 years 2 months and 15 days got translated into the last three tasks.

Easy way to verify would be to:

    1. Create a Project with a Start Date as 1-Jan-2017

    2. The expectation would be that the last three tasks have a Start Date of 15 or 16-April-2020.
