  • 1.  Cannot change password on first time

    Hello, May anyone found anything like me?

     

    I am installing .ova of gateway appliance on VMWare. Everything went fine, until I logged in on the first time that made me was forced to change ssgconfig user's password. But even I input very complex password it still says "too simple" or "up to word in dictionary". Is there anything wrong with my configuration?

    Hello,

     

    The password complexity requirements are outlined here:
    Troubleshooting Password Issues - CA API Gateway - 9.1 - CA Technologies Documentation 

     

    You are required to change the password for the ssgconfig and root accounts upon first use and every 60 days thereafter. The new password must adhere to the following rules:

    • Minimum 9 characters in length
    • Contains at least two upper and two lowercase characters
    • Contains at least two digits
    • Contains at least two special characters

    The new password must not be a repeat of any of the five most recent passwords and at least 24 hours must have elapsed since the last password change.
