  • 1.  Delete an already configured unlisted interface

    Posted Feb 07, 2017 08:02 AM

    Hi,

how we can remove/delte an already configured umlisted interface? For example we have setup a new interface eth1 and have assigned an IP. Unfortunately we need to configure n interface like eth0:1 with beforehand configured IP for that reason we would like to dtele the "old" etho1 interface.

So what we have to do?

    Best regards

    Good afternoon,

In version 8.3, we introduced a new feature called foundation services that allows for more configuration of underlying system options. To remove an interface do the following:

    • Log into the Gateway through the console or through SSH as the ssgconfig user
    • Select option 1) Configure system settings
    • Select option 5) Use Restricted shell
    • Type "interface"
    • Type "delete --help" to understand the command options

    Sincerely,

@Stephen Hughes the delete command seems to be not supported anymore (Gateway version 10.x) and it says it should be done with the ssg wizzard. But there I can't find any related option.
I've created an unlisted interface by mistake and want it to be deleted again.
What's the latest procedure for this?
    Thank you!
    Regards Stefan :)
