Which version of Solaris is this? Is this on x86/x64 or Sparc?

Can you show me the view of CPU:Utilization % (process)? I want to be sure there isn't a problem with the typeviewer.

What type of Java agent do you have deployed?

    Guenter_Grossberger, Hallett_German, Lynn_Williams: thoughts?

If this is virtual Solaris environment e.g Solaris Zones, then I think the Platform Monitor may not be able to report the "CPU: Utilization %(process)" because it needs physical CPU(s).

    Hi, Haruhiko!

I think you need to check with the server team and see if they are using Solaris containers (zones) or not like Lynn states.

While the agent will work technically, we do not support this configuration. The sames goes for AIX micropartitioning.

You might need to install EPAgents to monitor the CPUs using 'mpstat'. I have a plugin available to monitor this here.

    Hi! Haruhiko! OK!

it is possible to have something wrong in point of analysis?

    Thank you so much!

Without more information, the current analysis points to the use of Solaris containers which we do not fully support.

We cannot guarantee that you will get proper CPU metrics until we can eliminate this as the cause.
