  • 1.  Beacon service failing randoly with System error 1058

    After applying patch 10 on 14.3, beacon is showing random behavior, with sometime service comes up and sometimes it shows below error:

    System error 1058 has occurred.

    The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with

     

     

    Below is the beacon-system logs:

    This looks like a multicast issue where beacon is unable to communicate and getting stopped in a hung state. Do you have any script to auto start the services? 

     

    Also in log it looks time when Beacon is getting stopped but unable to stop completely "Timed out waiting for wrapperServiceMain"

     

    So you should see if there is enough memory also available at the server to start and stop the services
