    Question:

     

    Running AdminUI, when I press the View button of an Active Directory User Store, then the Policy Server reports :

     

     Error# '4' during search: 'error: Sizelimit exceeded'
     Search Query ='(&(objectclass=organizationalUnit)
     (objectclass=*))'

     

    Am I losing data ?

     

    Answer:

     

    The error is by design as allowing the retrieval of all data from Huge User Store will compromise the performances of the Policy Server and AdminUI.

     

    Because we do not use paging when retrieving User Store data, then when the amount of data returned exceed the "MaxPageSize" of the Active Directory configuration, you will get this error in the smps.log from Policy Server.

     

    This error has no impact on the data and the Policy Server functionalities.
