  • 1.  Use GMU tool to migrate Services

    Hello All,

     

    I want to clarify a doubt whether we can be able to migrate the code/policies/services from one version of gateway to another. For example from Gateway Version 9.0 to 9.1.

     

    My Dev environment is on 9.1 and Prod is on 9.0

    You may be able to migrate a policy from 9.0 to 9.1. However viceverssa will not work.

     

    We do not cross tested in between different GMU and Gateway versions. The underlying framework for the restman service that the GMU calls is backwards compatible the way that it calls functions in the GMU may fail.

    I am also trying to download GMU tool from ca support portal but I am not able to search the product . Can you please help in getting the steps to download the software.

    Hi Pratysin,

    The discussion here shows how to download the GMU from support.ca.com,

    GMU tool is free to download? 

     

    Although, for version 9.0 or before, you may have to download the whole gateway image.
