    Hi,

We are implementing API GATEWAY in a HA environment with 2 servers.

This is a software installation ( non applicance ).

I checked in guides ( install, configure, upgrade -> Configure a gateway cluster ) and found the following statement in the guides.

"Database replication applies to the appliance Gateway only".

Please, as we are using a software installation, could you clarify if the statment means that there is no way to use replicate mysql when using software installation ?

    Tks,

    Lincoln

    Hi Lugs1,

You can use MySQL replication with the software install. Our documentation specifically deals with setting this up using the appliance that is why the note was made as the instructions do not apply to the software install. While it is possible it is the responsibility of the end user / DBA to configure this. We do not provide scripts as we do for the appliances.

    Regards,

    Joe

    Thanks.

So, basically the failover is configuring mysql to replicate ?

Is there any other configuration or concern ?

    Tks,

    Lincoln

You should configure replication and clustering.

The clustering portion is outlined in our documentation: Configure a Gateway Cluster - CA API Gateway - 9.1 - CA Technologies Documentation

Nothing additional aside from that is required from the Gateway configuration standpoint.
