Team center custom attributes

The Java application (Web based) we are monitoring stores useful informations as HTTP headers, other as HTTP request parameters, and other as session attribute.

Using “Team center” in APM 10.x, is it possible to create "custom attributes" based on those information (HTTP headers, HTTP Request Parameters, and HTTP Session attributes)?

Please advise as I was not able to find anything with this respect in the documentation.

    Many thanks

    Haithem

    Hi Haithem,

Out of the box this is not possible without customized code on the Agent\EM side extracting desired information and sending\publishing it to EM.

However if there is a way to extract\grab this data outside of Introscope Agent then you can use ATC REST API support which was introduced in 10.1 allowing creation\update\deletion of  attributes of any existing vertex in APM Team Center.

    https://docops.ca.com/ca-apm/10-1/en/integrating/api-reference-guide/apm-rest-api

    Hope that helps.

    Regards,

    Kulbir.

    Hi Haithem,

You can only do this in 10.1 using a custom tracer in the agent.  10.1 lets agents send parameters up that can be turned into attributes.  Please contact the CA Service Team, as they can implement/develop this for you.

    Folks,

That's OK, but I believe it would be a great added value if such a feature gets considered and added to the product.

There should be some "easy" way to add such a feature through the Agent. Afterall, the Agent is there and can do that job (get the data, and send it over to the EM).

Can such a feature be considered / planned ?

    Thanks
