When i am trying to change User Password using Change Password APS, its throwing below mentioned error:

I am getting this for all users when i am uncommenting Regular Expressions setting for Match scenario.

Unfortunately I will have to agree.
I agree we didn't do good job testing the APS when it was bundled with Policy server OOTB.
For this particular issue of yours, my guess is this is a product defect as I have seen similar issue in the past.
Do you mind opening a support ticket for this please ? We might have to reproduce the issue in our lab and request a dev fix with SE.

Does sound like a bug - open issue, then upload the aps.conf (contains the expression) support should repro and send to engineering - also include the trace log
