Can you please help me in troubleshooting the below error message.
I had installed CA Enterprise manager 12.8 on windows 2008 server and able to start up and connect to CA endpoint manager but not to CA ENTM
It always fails with 404 error, HTTP Status 404 - /iam/ac/
type Status report
description The requested resource (/iam/ac/) is not available.
Can you please help.
Stop Jboss first.
Go into your Jboss folder and clear out the log:
cd /opt/jboss-4.2.3.GA/server/default/log/ or C:\jboss-4.2.3.GA\server\default\log\
Rename the server.log currently in there.
Start Jboss next and reproduce the problem, load up Enterprise Management.
After that's done, please send us your server.log.
We can also see that you have an issue opened, 00083771 // Unable to start CA Enter mgr - please upload your logs there so we can see the exact errors you're receiving within your log.

Also looking at your logs that are already up, it appears there's an error with your backend database account:,

com.ca.accesscontrol.exception.CommandFailedException: Connection to host ddglaa68 using user name: itimadm has failed with the returned error: (ddglaa68)
Is ddglaa68 your RDBMS server? Is it an AD server? See if the account is still available, not locked or password mismatch, also see if you can ping that hostname from the Enterprise Management machine.
Please make sure you are using MS SQL Standard or Enterprise version - as some lines in the install logs mentions "SQLEXPRESS" which if it is MS SQL Express, I don't think it is supported.
