We are installing eHealth 126.96.36.199 on Windows 2012 R2 64 bit platform. We have completed all the prerequisites and using correct installers but during Oracle update option (When we Enter the Oracle update software path), it gives below error:
"Based on E:\Oracle_Installer\Update\PACKAGE.TXT, the Oracle Update is not the required 188.8.131.52.0 EH2 or later."
Please provide your inputs if anybody has come across this error.
So, which update did you provide? That one released in March 2015?
Make sure that you have the correct Oracle Update package. If you have the previous package, downloaded prior to March, it will have a different fix number
You can also look at the "PACKAGE.TXT" file and make sure the following line is there, including "EH2"
It was a fresh install and oracle update downloaded from ca ftp was not correct EH2 version. We downloaded the post March release and it went fine.
Both Hilmar and Tom are correct in their suggestions and analyses. I would like to add a "cheat" that will get you around having to completely uninstall everything and start over from scratch. This only applies if you are updating from 6.3.2.x to 184.108.40.206, not a fresh install. If it's a fresh install, please get the newer Oracle Update files, as linked in Tom Hughes's post.
1. Edit the PACKAGE.TXT and change EH1 to EH2
2. Restart the eHealth setup program; it should complete successfully this time.
3. Download and install the Oracle October 2015 CPU.
If I am doing a fresh install of 6.3.3 on Windows and I got a similar error. Which OracleUpdate file must I have/download?
You shouldn't encounter the same issue, as above, in release 6.3.3. But you'll need the following 3 packages, to install eHealth on Windows
You can search for them by Fix # also
Thanks for the rapid response. As far as I can recall that the Fix i downloaded.
I have downloaded them from the link you have provided and unzipped the CA_eHealth_63300_Oracle_12102_Update_Windows.tar file using 7Zip and save them under OracleUpdate
Now my next question is since I canceled the installation at the step where I need to Select the OracleUpdate files location. Do I simply start the installation again or do I need to do some cleanups first?
It depends on what was laid down, I suppose. Did it create any folders, files?
I would delete whatever the installation created, and start over; even the installplus files
You can try just installing again, to see. And then clean up afterwards, if it fails
I just did the installation again and when it came to selecting the Oracle Update location, I get the same error as before.
This is what is in the PACKAGE.txt file
PACKAGE_ID=ORAPSETPACKAGE_DESC=Oracle Patchset 220.127.116.11PACKAGE_DATE=July 2016PACKAGE_ORA_VER=18.104.22.168.0PACKAGE_OOB_VER=22.214.171.124.0 EH1PACKAGE_PREREQS=OracleUpdatesPrereqsPACKAGE_PREINST=OracleUpdatesPreinstPACKAGE_PRELOAD=OracleUpdatesPreloadPACKAGE_PSTLOAD=OracleUpdatesPostloadPACKAGE_PSTINST=OracleUpdatesPostinst
Yeah, that looks like the same issue. I didn't think that applied in Oracle 12. I'll look into this
I will appreciated that.
Yes, there is a newer Oracle Update file
CA EHEALTH 6.3.3 ORACLE 126.96.36.199 UPDATE WITH OCT 2016 CPUFix #RO93659
I have confirmed that this is EH2
I will download it and let you know the result. My next question is, what are the other fixes for ? and what's the difference as compared to this one you just suggested.
