ETC of 0.000016 - Rounding Error

When I auto scheduled my project this one task's end date was moved out past today even though the task was showing 100% Complete, a status of Completed, and an ETC of 0.00.

When I clicked on the ETC for the task I saw that it was 0.000016.  When I typed over the ETC and changed it to “0” and auto scheduled it worked right.

Is there a way to get Clarity to round the ETC down to 0 when it's so close to 0?

Hi Tim,

 

If you see the fields then there is something called Decimal Places and you can configure to two decimal. Hope this helps

Unfortunately the Decimal Places setting only appears to affect the display of the data, not the precision of the data.  When I have Decimal Places at 2, it shows 0.00, but when I click on the field, I see it has a value that has many more places after the decimal.

Similar question:  We don't ask people to book time using millionths of an hour.  We also don't plan to this level of precision.  How does this happen?

 

Yes, can change decimal places displayed, but changing the display doesn't change the underlying data.
