For whatever reason we do not provide on for *nix.

You can create your own from the EM script by modifying all references to "Introscope_Enterprise_Manager" to "Introscope_WebView". Also update the filename reference for variable PIDFILE.

If working with shell scripts is not something you're comfortable doing, reply back and I will post one I have modified.

Wow. I guess that tells me that hardly anyone runs on Unix. Seems kind of basic to me.

Looks like I will need your file as I have been tried several attempts to edit the EMCtrl.sh file and it keeps telling me:

    -bash-4.1$ ./WVCtrl.sh status

./WVCtrl.sh status: WebView (pid 16527) is running

so I am clearly still missing something.

Just rename the attachment file extension and set READ and EXECUTE permissions on the file for your EM process ID.

runwv.sh was a script for old Introscope versions 7.x and 8.x.  It is deprecated now and does not appear in any 9.x and future releases, however unfortunately it remains in the guides which we are working to correct.
