  • 1.  CA enterprise management configuration on already installed endpoint

    Hi All,

     

    I have CA endpoint 12.5  running on AIX server and planning to install CA enterprise manager 12.8 on Windows 2012 R2 server.

     

    Since the endpoint is independent is there's a way to configure the endpoint on CA Enterprise manager 12.8.

     

    Can you please help ?

    Hi Karthik - Thank you for the submission.  The 12.5 endpoint was end of service as of January 31, 2015.  My recommendation would be to upgrade to the latest 12.8 version and you can install the Enterprise Management server and configure the endpoint.  Installation and configuration documentation for 12.8 can be found here:   http://wiki.ca.com/display/CMINDER128/Implementing.

    Hi Karthik,

     

    You can configure an Endpoint for Advanced Policy Management by following the steps here:

    Integrated HTML Documents

    However, as stated by Mike you need to be on a supported version of endpoint.

    Is dmsmgr is the only activity needed or also we need to perform some additional activities ?

     

    In this case, do we need to create any specific configuration on endpoint.

     

    How the endpoint will accept the connection from enterprise manager.
