"CA Directory configuration failed"  EEM(12.51.2.11), .

    Hi, I am attempting to install SOI 4.0. but fail to install EEM(12.51.2.11),

    I get      "CA Directory configuration failed".

    There was a previous instalation, which many not have uninstalled correctly.

     

    The install log shows:

    CA Directory installation log: 01/04/16 15:46:49

    Command line: 'RESPONSE_FILE=cadir.rsp'

    Args being passed: ETRDIRBASEPATH="C:\Program Files\CA\Directory" ADDLOCAL=ETRDocumentation,DXServer UI_LEVEL=1 ETRDIR_CONFIGURE_DXADMIND=0 ETRDIR_DXSERVER_SAMPLES=1 RESPONSE_FILE=cadir.rsp

    Using restore location of ''

    Restore will not run, we are not in migrate mode

    CA Directory installation log ended: 01/04/16 15:47:00

     

    "CA Directory - itechpoz" appears in Services but does not start

     

    Any ideas?

    I am having the same problem, had to uninstall a previous installation and now getting "CA Directory configuration failed" when installing EEM (12.51.0.4).

    Hi Melissa,

    We never got to the bottom of the problem, eventually we had the VM rebuilt and started the install from scratch, which worked successfully.

    Hello Ashay,

     

    I performed all of the cleanup steps within the document provided and rebooted the system. I am still getting the error "CA Directory configuration failed" when installing EEM 12.51.2.11.

    Hello,

     

    It appears like permissions issue, please make sure to install with Administrator privileges.

     

    Check if you are able access the logs inside CA Directory folder? Do you notice any access related problems here?
