ERROR:SID has expired. "probe_configuration _archive"

ERROR:SID has expired. i am getting this error whenever i am trying to leave "probe_configuration _archive"

running on the server and its not collecting all the configuration files in the environment UIM v8.2

i had to re-run for few times and keep refreshing the screen of server so that it should not timeout again. is there any solution for this?

Hi Verendra,

This is normal behavior when you leave any probe gui open past the SID expiration time. Every object in the NMS environment uses a SID to verify itself and communicate with other objects in the environment. The SID is provided by the HUB and it has an expiration time set. You can see the expiration time by either looking in Infrastructure Manager under the Security menu, "Set Login Expiration Time...". So, if you keep a probe gui open longer than the specified Login time then the SID will expire and it will no longer be able to communicate with the robot until you log in again or re-launch the gui.

In our IM the "set Login Expiration Time" is set as mentioned below.

 

Days :- 0

Hours :- 6

Minutes :- 0

 

But still before that within 2-3 hours i am getting that error.
