  • 1.  snmpget probe - takes a long time to load -

When i try to open one of my snmpget probes - it seems to hang up.  Sometimes it will open, but most often I have to go to task manager and end the program.  I'm not sure what's going on with it - I've upgraded the probe to the latest version and have restarted not only the probe, but the hub that it lives on.  Any ideas why this is happening?

Windows 2003 64 bit operating system

    snmpget probe 1.62

Thanks in advance - I'm pretty frustrated.  I have a ticket open with Nimsoft, but have no resolution as of yet.

    Kim,

How big is the snmpget.cfg file? The two leading causes I have seen for probe GUIs that load slowly or not at all are large config files coming across a tunnel or an unreliable tunnel.

Well I eventually got things working by going back to the 1.52 version - the config file is 1,626 KB - Since I'm new to this, I'm not sure if that's too large.  - My tunnel seems pretty good, I  haven't had any issues with it.

    Thanks for responding.

    Kim,

That size of config file is not very large. I was picturing sizes closer to 90 MB when I asked.

I believe I experienced the same behavior with 1.62.
