Adding users in USERS.XML file

Hi CA Experts,

 

I want to add user in Introscope and when i configure the users.xml file and add the new user.

I got an error of mismatched username and password and when i logged my own account my account will no longer login to.

Hi Arwin,

 

When you created the user, did you set the property in the XML file for plainTextPasswords to "true" ? If so, then all of the passwords were RE-encoded, which would explain why your password wouldn't work. Your best bet is to restore a backup copy of the users.xml file, then encode the user's password using the MD5encoder utility in the EM_HOME/tools directory, then add the user to the users.xml file, along with the encoded password from the MD5Encoder tool.
