Feature request which I was hoping to be included in the 14.6 release of documentation.... Documentation on command files needs a revisit.

Further documentation, and less cyclical help links (by this I mean following links for more information, to never find any real information, only to find technical details by searching the index) in the area of account file importing through wgninfra.exe. I've been building scripts to query from the CMS database and build command file scripts for processing by the infrastructure. Moving users, balancing users between gateways, etc. The documentation is horrid, and as a result of calling wgninfra.exe a barrage of commands from the documentation and getting little to nothing of value in the system/account import logs, I had to decompile the infrastructure code and figure out the actual parameters that are used in processing import jobs. Often they are NOT the same as what was described in the documentation at all!

In general, the DataMinder documentation is great. But not in this area (and EEAPI). I'd challenge CA to have one of the India techs create a command file that adds users, modifies addresses, moves clients between gateways, and then execute it without the wizard from the Administrative console--without having to decompile the code or consult internal resources :)

    Thanks in advance :)

    Beeks,

Thanks for your feedback, I have passed your comments to CA DataMinder Engineering and the CA Technical Writers.

If you have any specific examples or requirements that you believe should be addressed (ie undocumented syntax, or misleading texts) please raise this as a support ticket to ensure that there are corrected.

    Thanks
