    Folks,

I am planning to have DPM to monitor Oracle database and I am not sure if i need to have a dedicated server to run DPM. Currently I do not have any hardware resources wondering if i could just run it on the EM.
    Please advice.

    Thanks and regards

If you are just wanting to monitor the database (not manage it), then DB Insight alone can accomplish this. In other words, you wouldn't need DPM. DB Insight runs as an agent, and can be run either on the database server or remotely. It then can be configured to report its metrics to APM instead of to DPM.

Download the ISO for either Windows or *nix and read carefully the ReadMe file. It will explain everything you're asking about.
