    Hi,

I inherited a design which incorporates 3x BCM5337 (industrial version), which is now getting obsolete.

I don't need any new functionalities (e.g. just 6 ports 10/100Mb per device, SPI interface for programming, IGMP used, unmanaged).

As possible replacer, I am selecting the BCM53108 and preparing the design for this one.

In general: can anybody confirm if this choice is the right one?

Are there any alternatives which I should definitely look at (in particular: which could give me a longer longevity)?

PS: Unfortunately, my experience with these Ethernet switches is rather low; help is greatly appreciated.

    Greetings, Henry.

    Hi Henry,

According to your description and requirement, I think the 53108 is good solution meet within your design application.

53108 supports 8 ports 10/100Mbps, SPI programming interface and IGMP snooping.

    Thanks,

    Ryan
