In BCM53134, the Spanning Tree state for a given port shall be written

    1. in the respective Port Traffic Control Register (bits 7:5 page 0x00 offset 0x00-0x05),

    2. in MST Table Enable Register (page 0x43 offset 0x10),

    3. or in both registers? When shall be used one or the other?

    Thank you in advance,

    Paulo Ribeiro

    Hi Paulo,

53134 supports the spanning tree registers as you mentioned.

For spanning tree implement, it requires the external CPU software to run the spanning tree standard algorithm and configure the 53134 spanning tree registers according to the spanning tree algorithm running state.

    Thanks,

    Ryan
