Can anyone assist or give me some ideas of how to trouble shoot this?
Network Advisor (12.3.1) has started to report the following in the master log every 12 mins...
"An unexpected problem occurred for the fabric "WWN of switch" Trigger the product support save and contact tec
Checked the switches that it refers to and all is OK
In fact I am getting two of these messages at the same time, one for a switch on each fabric?
SAN POrt Health page shows everything is OK?
Anyone any ideas?
Running FOS 7.4.1d on all switches
Thanks in advance,
[Moved the entry to Management Server]
can you provide some further details about what BNA is reporting?
And also output from the RASlog - CLI command errdump or "errshow -r" covering the 15 minutes when BNA is reporting an issue for a switch, please
So, BNA is detecting an issue on a switch level in a fabric, I would say.
Hello, i add the same messages :
Error false lun. oct. 16 2017 12:33:53 EDT An unexpected problem occurred for the fabric - 10:00:50:EB:1A:D8:F0:9B. Trigger the Product SupportSave immediately and contact technical support to resolve this issue WPDCFM11 Management Server Event 10
Now i try to locate witch switch or host trigger that winout succes. we had more than 26 switch in tow frabric and i canot locate the WWN to.
The WWN 10:00:50:EB:1A:D8:F0:9B is representing the fabric (either principal switch or seed switch, I would suspect). Check the master log for events around the events. Notice that it can be BNA which have the issue, not the switches. Did the messages start after the upgrade to 7.4.1x (if you did)?
Would need data from BNA server, e.g. supportsave to take a look at this.
Further, notice that 12.4.0 is recommended to manage 7.4.0:
Brocade Network Advisor 12.4.0 or later is required to manage switches running FOS 7.4.0 or later.
The Brocade Network Advisor seed switch should always have the highest FOS version used in the fabric
what are the FOS level of your switches and also what version of BNA are you running - since you have a new post?
