Port state downside red arrow

    A simple question - On CMCNE, the port icon of a port in a brocade switch shows up with downside red arrow, after removing the fibre connection from a host. It means the port is simply offline and no_light coming in.  I understand that downside red arrow implies that the port is down or failed.  I am wondering why the port got this red arrow state and how does this error goes away. Thanks for your feedback.

    @iDIGIT

    move the Thread in correc tForum.

    about you question:

    ->I am wondering why the port got this red arrow state....

    that is simple. the port in question that was in use is registered into a DB in BNA / CMCNE,

    or is continue present - if any is available - in the BNA Zone config,  now what a reason whatsoever connection is lost and BNA show the port as DOWN.

    --->>...and how does this error goes away.

    if the port is no longer connected or in use, you should review the config.
