Network Advisor Messages - Invalid user ID or Password within smc for user dcmadmin

  • 1.  Network Advisor Messages - Invalid user ID or Password within smc for user dcmadmin

    Posted 09-18-2018 03:09 AM

    Installed Network Advisor 14.4.3 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 7.5 (Maipo). I am unable to apply AAA settings or change database password, but i am able to connect by same credentials to database using pgAdmin III.

    Did anyone have an idea or even the same experiences?

    # tailed smc.log

    2018-09-18 11:50:28,439 INFO  [dialog.OkCancelDialog] (AWT-EventQueue-0) Failed to add into usage Analysis {0}

    If i try to change the already right known password by script dbpasswd i get the following error:

    Hi,

    only to inform you all. The dbpasswd error could be fixed by expanding the classpath ...

    [root@server~/bin]# grep JAR_PATH dbpasswd
    #JAR_PATH="$DCM_HOME/jboss/modules/system/layers/base/org/postgresql/main/postgresql.jar:$DCM_HOME/lib/server/configwizard-server.jar:$DCM_HOME/lib/dcm-boot.jar:$DCM_HOME/lib/server/util.jar"
    JAR_PATH="$DCM_HOME/jboss/modules/system/layers/base/org/postgresql/main/postgresql.jar:$DCM_HOME/lib/server/configwizard-server.jar:$DCM_HOME/lib/dcm-boot.jar:$DCM_HOME/lib/server/util.jar:$DCM_HOME/lib/server/system.jar:$DCM_HOME/jboss/modules/system/layers/base/com/ibatis/main/ibatis-dao-2.jar:$DCM_HOME/jboss/modules/system/layers/base/com/brocade/thirdparty/main/sigar.jar"

    But smc wrapper script already has all these jar's!

    So, it's not the solution .-(

    Hi,

    first line of stacktrace (java.lang.NullPointerException) gives me OkCancelDialog.class from package com.brocade.efcm.framework.xul.dialog. Attached ist a screenshot of the section icluding line112.

    Hopefully someone helps this ...

    Hello Daniel,

    I am sorry of course, but on the other hand, I am no longer alone. What do you mean that it would have solved automatically, etc. I had an installation with version 14.3.1, I think, on a Windows server with the same problem. So it seems to be OS independent. Please keep me informed.

    Regards, Helge
